Reading Snacks: The Power of a Spark

Friday 22 May at 17:30 appointment with the first live event of Snacks, the blog of the Rondò dei Talenti, which inaugurates Reading snacks, a series of two appointments with the authors of our blog.

Valentina Villani will guide us through the pages of the  book”Electric Girls” by Naomi Alderman.

We'll bring to the table the plot, the characters, the author's style, and the novel's main themes: power, the body, rebellion, and the future. The book thus becomes the starting point for reflecting together on very real things.

It's not mandatory to have finished the book or even read it, as it's a text capable of engaging with diverse audiences, particularly relevant to younger generations while also offering plenty of inspiration for shared, adult reading. The idea is to create an open space, free of formalities, where different generations can come together around a story that speaks to everyone.
