Foundation networks
The Foundation promotes and pursues a policy of dialogue and cooperation through active participation in the associations to which it belongs, alongside other Italian and European foundations . This is because relationships and collaborations with organizations and individuals inspired by and oriented toward the same objectives can and must foster continuous improvement of its work in the region.
First of all, it participates in ACRI , which brings together around fifty Savings Banks (Casse di Risparmio Spa) and the 86 Banking Foundations and represents an important place for meeting, exchange and discussion with the Foundations operating at the Italian level, as well as intervening to represent and protect the general interests of the Foundations to promote the achievement of their institutional objectives, the protection of their assets and technical and economic development.
At the Piedmont level, the eleven banking foundations have been united in an Association since 1995, joined by three Ligurian foundations in 2022, with the aim of promoting and implementing joint initiatives in their respective areas of operation. President Mauro Gola is a member of the Board of Directors of the Council of Banking Foundations of Piedmont and Liguria.
At European level , the Foundation is a member of Philea, which brings together over 7500 European philanthropic organizations, created in 2021 from the union of Dafne and the European Foundation Centre and based in Brussels.
Memorandum of Understanding ACRI-MEF
Twenty-five years after their inception, banking foundations are looking to the future with a commitment to self-reform.
The spirit of the Amato and Ciampi laws, establishing the Foundations of banking origin, finds new application force with the Memorandum of Understanding signed on April 22 by the Minister of Economy and Finance, Pier Carlo Padoan, and the President of Acri Giuseppe Guzzetti. With the signing of this document, the Foundations begin a process of self-reform that has among its main objectives strengthening the diversification of investments, enhancing the transparency of the grant-making activity, further guaranteeing the autonomy and effectiveness of governance.

Charter of Foundations
The Foundations' Charter is the document that outlines the guidelines for a common behavioral approach that, in compliance with the regulations governing Foundations, enhances their work and strengthens their autonomy, responsibility, transparency, and independence.
Each Foundation, through the appropriate institutional steps, will begin a process of adopting the Charter in the coming months, "implementing the principles and criteria indicated by setting them out in full autonomy in statutory and/or regulatory provisions, as well as in operating procedures and practices, according to [its] own size and operational and institutional characteristics" (from the preamble of the Foundations' Charter).
The Charter of Foundations was unanimously approved by the ACRI Members' Meeting on 4 April 2012.
The Assembly of 4 May 2011 had given the green light to this document as the opportunity to provide guidelines on governance , institutional activity and the use of the assets of Italian banking foundations had been formalised.
The definition of the Charter was achieved through a process of development inspired by the widest participation, which involved all the Foundations through working groups.
